DR of Congo_The Ministry of Foreign Trade renews bans on imports of some high consumption products

Temporary bans on imports of the following products are renewed to protect domestic industries and to fight against illegal imports.

Iron bars, grey cement and clinkers: the previous ban on imports of such products, entering the territory in the Western part of the Democratic Republic of Congo, is renewed for a 12-month period starting August 31st 2018 by Ministerial Order n°050/CAB/MINETAT.COMEXT/2018, whatever their countries of supply.

 

Beers and aerated beverages:  the previous ban on imports of such products, wherever the entry point in the territory of the Democratic Republic of Congo, is renewed for a 12-month period starting September 3rd 2018 by Ministerial Order n°052/CAB/MINETAT.COMEXT/2018, whatever their country of supply.

 

Brown sugar:  the previous ban on imports of such product, entering the territory in the western part of the Democratic republic of Congo is renewed for a 12-month period as of September 3rd 2018 by Ministerial Order n°051/CAB/MINETAT-COMEXT/2018.

 

Products placed under bans entering the territory of Democratic Republic of Congo without prior authorisation will be destroyed or re-exported at infringer's costs.
